Cookham Scout Group

Welcome to 1st Cookham

We are open to boys and girls aged between 4 and 18, with a non-stop programme of adventure all the way. Everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them and we will help them find it.   Currently Cookham has one Squirrels drey, two Beaver colonies, two Cub packs, a Scout troop and an Explorer Scout unit.  We have long waiting lists and would love to open more sections – all we need is more adult volunteers to make it happen.

We are lucky to have a great HQ building and all the great outdoors of Cookham to explore. We offer weekly meetings of all sections during term time plus a programme of special events at weekends, and regular camps and trips.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
