Joining and Subscriptions
We collect a membership subscription every term to cover our running costs. We collect it via the Online Scout Manager platform which we will ask you to sign up to if your child joins the Scout Group.
We want every Cookham Scout to enjoy the benefits of Scouting to the full. We encourage every Scout to participate in every event. The Group has funds available to ensure that hardship is not a factor in determining whether a child can join the Scout Group or take part in any event. Please speak to any Leader, in confidence, if you want any help. To keep fees low, we run two big fundraising events where we ask for parent help: The Cookham Village Fair in June and the Bonfire and Fireworks display in November.
We are a popular Scout Group with a limited number of places. We have developed a policy for deciding how to allocate places. We prioritise places for the children of any parent who volunteers to become a leader.
